With the visit of BIBBA (Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders Association) Vice President, Roger Patterson, due early May to assist with the assessment of the island’s bees as the start of the project to improve the gene pool of IOM bees, its very gratifying to see the infrastructure coming together.

Those wanting to do a little weekend reading on Roger’s approach to Bee Improvement may find these pages on Dave Cushman’s website useful and instructive.

Have a happy Easter, IOM Beekeepers.
