Day four of Roger Pattersons visit
Monday morning, from 9:00am at the home of Keith Osborn, Ballavargher, Union Mills, grafting practical led by Roger Patterson, all beekeepers are very welcome. Whether you have been involved or not in the meetings, seminars or colony visits Roger has conducted this weekend, you are very welcome to come and see how its done; and practise yourself if you wish. Visit Andy Scarlett's hives This Saturday, (subject to weather!). To get to Andy's hives, drive down Shore Road, GlenMaye (past the Waterfall pub). There should be a sign pointing you into the field where they are, some way down the road and on the right hand side, up a grass track. Our Family day this year is being held on Sunday 21st June and kindly hosted by Mr & Mrs Stan & Pam Clucas in their marquee in their field opposite their home at Ballachurry, Port Erin. Proceedings will begin at 1030hrs and continue all day, and as usual we will have a Barbeque and Faith Lunch . Michael Badger at Shenharra
Michael Badger, MBE, will hosting an apiary meeting at the Training Apiary at Shenharra on Saturday. The event will commence at 2pm. All Federation members are very welcome to attend. Prospective beekeepers are also welcome to join us at Shenharra, where you will be kitted out with a beesuit if you don't have your own. Harry Owens asks for those who don't have suits to please ring him in advance on 801315 to arrange a suit.
