A few weeks ago I discovered that beekeeping associations across the world have been invited to enter a Vita competition publicising work done in improving honeybee health.

The Vita Bee Initiative Awards will highlight the vital work of voluntary beekeeping groups to combat the ongoing health threats to honeybees and publicise good practice for the benefit of other beekeepers

More info on this initiative can be found here.

The Manx Bee Improvement Group, with assistance from the IOM Chief Vet, Stuart Jaques and Bee Inspector, Harry Owens has put together the document below. All beekeepers on the IOM are invited to crit the paper, but more importantly, help by contributing photographs, videos, audio recordings or any other material to make it more readable and compelling.

But – if you want to help, you have to be quick; the deadline is the end of this week!: Late Flash! As of 7 July, the deadline has been extended to 31 July!

I look forward to hearing from our readers with lots of pictures and videos!
