Isle of Man Post Office have released a beautifully illustrated set of stamps featuring manx bee fauna.  The stamps are now on general sale and are impregnated with the smell of honey!  The IOM Post Office Stamps & Coins dept. kindly donated a set of the stamp artworks printed on durable plastic and blown up to poster size , to the Federation for use at the agricultural shows or any other events.  In addition to the posters, they kindly donated a full sheet of stamps with a value in excess of £20 and a dozen presentation packs.

The official launch and press  release took place at the Beehive Kindergarden in Onchan and in response to a request from the Post Office’s delightful Mirella Annis,  I  was in attendance (as a Federation representative) to give a brief talk to the children about the importance of bees in the environment.  I took along the Virtual Hive and the children were photographed holding frames of virtual bees.
