Summer 2017

This years course is drawing to a close.

The format of the theory class for the seven evenings finished in April as usual with an excellent turn out of interested and interesting potential beekeepers.

This year though things have changed in the practical department.  We have amalgamated the teaching and breeding facility under one umbrella.  The management of the unit has been changed too.

Now our students who are all Associate members of one of the three Associations, know that they can contact the Apiary manager Roger Putman and be welcomed down to as many Saturday afternoon practicals as they may want to attend.

There are specific practicals just for beginner instruction too.  The students are kept informed of those.

The Apiary is wonderfully well organised with beekeeping activities every Saturday afternoon during the season.

There is often tea and cake after the work at the Apiary with a chance to chat to other beekeepers.
